ICU RN – High-Acuity Critical Care Travel Contract
13-Week Assignment | 48 Hours Guaranteed Weekly | Night Shift
Looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU? We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a premier travel opportunity at a Level II Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your critical care expertise while caring for some of the most complex patient populations in the region.
Assignment Details
13-Week Contract
48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
12-Hour Night Shifts
Every Other Weekend Rotation (not guaranteed)
No On-Call

Unit Overview
39-Bed Mixed ICU
Medical ICU (MICU)
Surgical ICU (SICU)
Cardiac ICU (CICU)
Trauma ICU (TICU)
Patient Population
Care for a diverse and highly complex ICU population including:
ARDS
Myocardial Infarction (MI)
CVA/TIA
Post-cardiac catheterization patients
Trauma patients
Multi-system organ failure
Surgical ICU patients
Critical cardiac and neuro patients
Requirements
Active RN License
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
TNCC (required prior to start)
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (excluding travel experience preferred)
At least one completed travel assignment
Epic experience required
Highly Preferred Experience
CABG/TAVR recovery patients
CRRT
Impella
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
Ventilator management
Proning
Hemodynamic monitoring
Vasopressors, paralytics, and sedation drips
Nurse-to-Patient Ratios
1:1
1:2
1:3 (rare and acuity dependent)
Support Staff
Dedicated ICU Charge Nurses
24/7 Respiratory Therapy
Resource Nurses
Nurse Aides and Mobility Assistants
Intensivists and Advanced Practice Providers
Phlebotomy Support
Vascular Access Support
Additional Information
Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from the facility.
Floating is uncommon but may occur to adult Med-Surg/Telemetry units when overstaffed.
No holiday RTO permitted.
Up to 7 days of requested time off may be considered with contract extension to maintain full assignment length.
